The Money Stuff.

You have options.

  • Insurance

Always Blooming Counseling accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Choice PPO, and Aetna PPO commercial insurances. Before beginning therapy, we will work with you to verify your mental health benefit coverage.

  • Out of Network Benefits

Your commercial insurance may provide out of network benefits, which can help you pay for therapy. For out of network benefits, we also provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for partial or full reimbursement depending on your plan. You will also be provided a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE), which will help you prepare for out of pocket charges for the calendar year.

  • Self-Pay

If you are uninsured or would prefer to not utilize your insurance coverage, you are responsible for covering the full rate of therapy out of pocket. You will be required to sign an “Opt-Out” agreement, which asserts that you will not retroactively submit Super Bills to BCBS/Aetna for reimbursement. You will also be provided a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE), which will help you prepare for out of pocket charges for the calendar year.

  • Self Pay Rate: $165-190 per session

Payment is due at time of session.

  • Walk and Talk Sessions

Joyful movement can be a powerful addition to your therapy journey. This service is billed at the self pay rate at time of session and is not reimbursed by insurance. Clients who use their insurance benefits for telehealth or in-office appointments can add this service a la carte.

  • Additional Charges Included in Informed Consent and GFE

    Provided before intake

Good Faith Estimate

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises

Financial informed consent is a crucial business value at Always Blooming Counseling, PLLC. We are more than happy to address questions or concerns regarding rates, insurance, payment and GFEs before the initial appointment, during intake and throughout the course of treatment.
